Its good to be out of the house, isn’t it?! For me, nothing can quite recreate the buzz of a live event. During the pandemic, I’ve spent a lot of time learning real-time web chat technologies, including video and audio and revising computer networking skills in order to better support new technologies such as NDI and Dante. We now own some vMix licences and equipment and have even setup completely remote broadcast style setups using AWS EC2 containers. It’s a new “hybrid” world – I think the interesting challenge will be integrating “in-person” events with “virtual” events!
